Your Timeless Candle Refill Kit comes with everything you need:
Pre-blended coconut–soy wax + fragrance oil (in convenient meltable cubes)
Wicks sized for your vessel
Wick-adhering stickers for secure placement
-
For the best results, allow your newly poured candle to rest for at least 3 days — ideally 5–7 days — before burning. This curing time allows the wax and fragrance oil to fully bind, ensuring an even burn and bold fragrance throw.
-
Set the Wick
-Attach the provided wick to the center of the vessel using the wick sticker. The Nova & Hearth will also come with a wooden tube wick that fits around the cotton wick
-Secure upright (Bamboo Skewers & binder clips work great)
Melt the Wax (Double Boiler Method)
-Fill a pot with 1–2 inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer.
-Place the wax cubes in a heat-safe pouring pitcher or bowl and set inside the pot.
-Heat until melted, stirring occasionally, and monitor temperature until it reaches 170 °F.
Cool & Pour
-Remove from heat and allow wax to cool to 140–150 °F.
-Slowly pour into your vessel, leaving about ½ inch from the top.
Let it Cure
-Allow the candle to sit undisturbed until fully solid.
-Cure for 3–7 days before lighting to ensure the best fragrance performance.
-
Never leave melting wax unattended. Always stay nearby when using the double boiler method.
Use heat-safe tools. Only melt wax in a heat-safe pouring pitcher or bowl.
Keep children and pets away from your work area while wax is hot.
Avoid water contact. Never add water to melted wax — it can splatter and cause burns.
Handle carefully. Always use oven mitts or heat-safe gloves when handling hot containers.
Do not overheat. Wax should not exceed 185 °F; overheating can affect fragrance performance.
-
Center the wick carefully for an even burn — you can use a clothespin or wick holder to keep it upright.
Pour slowly to reduce bubbles and create a smooth candle surface.
Allow your candle to cure 5–7 days when possible — this will give you the strongest fragrance throw.
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent soot and ensure a steady flame.
-
Your vessel has a story to tell — let’s get it ready for its next chapter.
Melt the leftover wax.
Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently warm the inside of your vessel until the remaining wax softens.
Wipe clean.
Carefully wipe away melted wax with a paper towel or disposable dish towel.
Remove the wicks.
Gently pull off the old wick tabs — they should lift easily.
If any adhesive remains, use a small amount of mineral oil or adhesive remover with a cotton swab.
Wipe dry and avoid oversaturating — concrete is porous, and excess oil can affect your next burn.
Let it rest.
Ensure the vessel is clean and completely dry before moving on.
